Supply Valve Location

Installing a recessed GovRay radiator. There is not enough room underneath the radiator body to locate the supply valve (trap will fit). Short of finding a lower profile supply valve, Is there any problem with locating the larger supply valve below the radiator in the crawl space?

No... except that getting at it if you need to will be a bore. You might, however, do a favour for the next person and put a tag on the radiator (I use the soft metal embossable tags which gardeners use) to tell them that there is a valve under there...

Spoke too soon. Trap will also be in the crawlspace. Any issue with the trap being below the radiator?

Nope. Just drop to it and go horizontal and into it, and then drop out of it. And put on another tag... !

No, not a big deal. A lot of Hoffman systems always put both the trap and valve in the basement rather than on the radiator/convector.

Excellent. Thank you both. Your description is exactly how it was done.
