What causes it? Hot water from steam boiler coil.

If it's only the hot water which is low, and it's low everywhere... assuming that all the valves are as they should be, and the piping is reasonable, the most likely culprit is scaling in the coil in the hot water coil in the boiler. There are a variety of measures to tackle that.Br. Jamie, osb

Thanks Jamie. Yea only the hot water pressure is low, not extreme. Boiler is WM 23 yrs old, in good condition at 80% effic. Other than replacing coil, what would you suggest?0

I'd try descaling the coil first. Since this is domestic, you cold even try just figuring out a way to run vinegar, the cheapest you can get, cut half and half , into it and letting it sit for a while, then flush it out and do it again.Br. Jamie, osb
