Number plates on radiator sections?

While cleaning some of our radiators, I noticed that there are plates with numbers on each radiator section. Does anyone know what these are? I've noticed multiple different numbers on sections in the same radiator, so they probably aren't radiator number.

Maybe? There's one in the dining room that has tags with 862, 871, and 36, so it seems like those might be too separate for run numbers...

I think this is correct. Or, it might be the number of the casting form that was used to cast that particular section. This would let them trace a bad section back to the form where it was cast.

Probably just mold identification marks. For traceability as mentioned.

Look at the bottom of a soup can and you
lol see two little dents in the dome. That identifies the machine. Peel off the label and there’s normally a mfg code that includes what line it was made on and the date and time as well as which plant. There may also be a purple dot that identifies which machine the inside coating was sprayed.

Yes, i work at a can plant. Pretty cool processes. SOme machines cranking out cans at 1900/min

@mikeg2015 @Steamhead Yep, that's probably it. After looking at most of the radiators around the house, they all appear to be tagged with the same few numbers, which would make sense if they were mold identification numbers. Thank you!
