    stop the water hammer,
    enjoy the heat,
    add main venting,
    and insulate your mains,
    ;)

    So,
    we're gonna need more info,
a large picture of the boiler and the piping above to the ceiling,
what pressure are you set to, and what's the highest you see on the gage?

Seems like @neilc 's got it, except that it's in reverse order -- with one addition: before you start insulating your pipes, which you must do, check the pitch of every single near horizontal pipe you can find. They all must pitch uniformly to where water can drain back to the boiler, either through a wet return or directly. No sags. No level pipes. And that check is a lot easier to do before the pipes are insulated.
