While doing more fiddling with control I thought I would share some run data from this recent cold snap for anyone interested.

Total elapsed time: 16,258 minutes or just over 11 days
Total call time: 11,500 minutes or 71% of elapsed( too low still but I have to err on heating too fast side )
Total calls for heat: 132 so average call 87 minutes(again too low)
Total burn/wait cycles: 584
Average cycle length: 11500/584=19.7minutes(there is that 3CPH again that just seems to work well)
Total burner on time: 5062min
Average burn time/cycle: 5062/584= 8.7min
Total wait time: 6438min (/584= 11min average per cycle)
Burn time as % of elapsed: 5062/16258= 31% (average temp over the period probably 10F)
Total vent open time: 1812 min
Vent open time per cycle: 1812/584= 3.1min(so roughly 9+min/hour of call time)
Vent open time as % of burner run time: 1812/5062= 36%
Vent open time as % of call time: 1812/11500= 16%

Anyway, with all the fuss I read about venting you can see here that I run a 1000EDR system with a single 1/2NPT vent hole open only 9 minutes an hour while calling for heat and about 36% of the time the burner is on. Vacuum really is a big deal. Makes life a lot easier all around. Steam is always in forward motion toward the rads during the entire call (and beyond that). Rads in cooler areas grab a higher percentage of the total steam produced than they would in a pressure setup so there is automatic balancing going on almost continuously. Time to steam basically zero as each new fire is in the deepest part of the vacuum at the lowest boiling point.
