Boiler pressure issue
Comments
-
Thinking out loud........Convectors are hardly more than a pipe, volume-wise. They would take split second to fill with steam and close their vent. Boiler sizing, and venting will be even more critical with this system.
Need to know the EDR of your convectors, and size of the boiler. I'm guessing the boiler is massively over-sized.0 -
You know, I'm going to say the inside of that Pressuretrol does not look normal. I suspect it has been tampered with by someone, in the past. Did that person know what they were doing??? The inside of that unit is discolored and the adjustment screw has blue/black gunk on it. That's not factory glue. They use red lock-tite type adhesive on that screw. If it were me I'd bite the bullet and put a new Pressuretrol on there , especially if you can't recalibrate that one and test it. In either case, you need a 0-3PSI gauge0
