Over Kill, in a good way.

A family member of mine needed 2 steam boil is replaced. You can imagine how happy I was.
converting from oil to gas. One boiler was original to the house (A dilapidated Snowman) and the other had a 50's look. "Pacemaker" was on the cover.

I installed 2 weil-maclin EG-30. I know the 3" drop header is over kill and making the pressuretrol water seal out of brass was unnecessary, but it's for the family and it looks Awesome!

    Nice Job!!

Poor old snowman, still had it's stack switch!! The old Beckett has probably been their since the 70s.

Don't know who made the Pacemaker

I only know of one Pacemaker in my area...very quiet boiler with a 1725 burner on it. Beautiful job on the boilers.. have to love steam pipes..

Looks nice. I'm a bit surprised you would use hollow concrete blocks turned on their side.

Admittedly, if i have an achilles heal in my work its the electrical, its always sloppy. I LOVE the way you do yours. I wish I wasn't always in a "gotta get to the next one" mindset and was able to slow down and do it just like that.
    Nice job

Thank you everyone. I love steam work and making attractive to people is the first step in bringing it back.

    Lucky.
When I get that chance, I'll be asking @gerry gill For pointers on designing a mini tube boiler and then use @izhadano vacuum boost system to overcome the pressure drop using smaller piping.

Good luck, I hope you get the job.

Great install! I am not sure your family knows how lucky they are.

On the subject of snowmen boilers, I had a down fired steam snowman in one of my homes. Between the size of the home, the small crack in the boiler talk about lack of fuel efficiency.

Beautiful installations. Really fun to go over the details in the polished/painted pipes and fittings. It wouldn't pass in my area due to the hollow blocks and 15 PSI gauge but NY/NJ is annoying like that. I like the pressuretrol setup.
