Did some digging and quizzing of our semi-local W-M rep this week. Found that their fire tube boiler HX are in fact Polish, and the boilers are made in Eden, NC. Their Aquabalance line which has radial HX is made entirely in Italy and rebadged by W-M.
I've been looking heavily into their ECO line with fire tube and the Aquabalance line which all have 10:1 turndown.
Of course when you ask any boiler rep their stuff is the best, I was leaning toward a Viessmann Vitodens 100, but these W-M have more impressive numbers. All are carried locally.
Any expierence with these units? Webb always tries to sell me their Bosch line, but I'm not comfortable with the aluminum HX.

The original Triangle Tube heat exchangers were made a third party company (possibly polish). When TT switched manufactures, the original company began selling the exchangers to many boiler company. I suspect MW is one of them. That firetube is a solid proven design."If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough"

So far nothing but good things to say about our Eco 110 boiler. We're approaching 1 year since it was installed. I just called today to schedule the first annual maintenance.
Tied to an old single zone cast iron radiator system, it's able to run at fairly low water temps keeping it condensing all thru the heating season. The settings menu is easy to navigate and understand.
You mentioned 10 to 1 turndown. The Eco has a 5 to 1 turndown ratio, about 20k btu at minimum fire.
In May we replaced our electric WH with an indirect. Again, real straight forward and easy to set up.

Yes the ECO series is not 10:1, but the radial aquabalance is 10:1. I'm looking at an 8,000-80,000 input. The ECO70 is 14,000-70,000.
Didn't know if anyone has installed/worked on the Aquabalance. I assume it's a Gionanni HX.Serving Northern Maine HVAC & Controls. I burn wood, it smells good!0 -
I have also been checking out the Aquabalance but it would be the first "watertube" boiler I've worked with. Any further update or review?0

I installed the ECO 70, just received it Friday. Piping it up today. Should be online soon, still have to remove direct vent oil boiler so I can use the same wall penetration for the polypropylene vent on this ECO.
Will update when I have some real world expierence.
This will be the first residential sized fire tube mod/con I have any expierence with. I have serviced a handful of Gionanni based boilers, but primarily do commercial cast iron oil and gas.Serving Northern Maine HVAC & Controls. I burn wood, it smells good!0
