If you're on mobile, try to switch to the desktop version. Quoting works then, & I find the desktop version is a lot better to use.
IDK why, but web developers always seem to think that a mobile device has a 14"+ screen, at least judging by all the menus & tool bars they add, and often disable zooming for some unknown reason.

Another tip to help readers, after you hit quote, you can highlight and remove text so you don't have to quote the entire response, just the part that relevant.
You can also quote a few time to respond to different parts, and put in comments, i.e
