Looking for educational materials for in floor radiant heat and possibly radiant cooling

I am trying to educate myself enough so that I can have an intelligent conversation with whoever designs and installs the radiant heating in my to-be-built home. I am a retiring software engineer so I'm not afraid of technical information, I just would like to know where to find that information.
The architect is working on final sketches before starting on bidding documents so I figure it is about time that I came up to speed on radiant heating/cooling systems.
What resources (books, magazines, websites, what-have-you) would you recommend?

Radiant manufacturers have plenty of reading from consumer pieces to design manuals. Uponor, Viega, Rehau, Roth, Mr pex, etc are some of the top names.
The Uponor design manual is one good example, request one here.

These are the BEST start someone can use . Robert's site is b y far the best resource for HVAC stuff that can be read . I linked to these for review . There is much , much more to proper design than on any one manufacturer's site . While very good resources , there are still those designers who go farther toward designing better performing SYSTEMS that can even lower costs .
Does it have to be radiant and is radiant always the best solution ? You want the designer who can answer that question .
For radiant heating and cooling you can avoid alot of nonsense by looking at Messana .

I really like the Colors of Heat books (Water and Steam). Not sure if you can get them anywhere other than Peerless though. Look over as much as you can, I agree not one manufacturers info will be enough to get the whole picture. Good luck with the build!0
