In the middle of helping out My Neighbor, with his newly bought home ...
Changing everything,.. have 2 rooms want to remove the Large.. 32 inch high Old American Standard column radiators.
To smaller 19 inch high slenderized rads.
Any good places in the tri state with used 1's
.. or even trade for some old Large 1's .??

Before you start lugging those things around, a minor question: have you figured the heat requirement for those rooms, and the heat from the new smaller radiators? Will it be adequate?

That's not ignorance at all -- it's just a reflection of the nature of New York City and environs. Everyone knows that nothing exists beyond that...

Don't forget to keep the old valves with the old radiators, and get new valves/spuds for the new rads, otherwise they may leak.--NBC
