looking at various models of cameras with probe,(6to9ft) for heat exchanger inspection and of course other areas of HVAC systems. Some advise on model and approx hit on my tool budget. Thanx , John

I have had a Ridgid micro CA-25 for several years. Real basic budget line. More handy than I imagined. 3' flex claims to be waterproof. Have stuck it into a wet pipe before and it still works. About 100 bucks. Just from using this it seems anything longer would be hard to direct into position FWIW.0

I picked up the Lowes special to see why the plug on my Ford van wasn't threading in. I think I paid more than I could have, but I was broke down in a fast food parking lot, so time was essential.
In any case, it's served well, if infrequently, since then. If I had to do it over, I'd get one that will take still pics. It's one thing to see it, or even show someone; but to email a pic or throw one in with the change order paperworks: priceless!
