HI, I have a 5 year hot water heater (AO SMith Model XCV 50 300), the control valve was replaced 2 months ago.
Since then it has beeped once every 15 mins. I thought my water detector was low on batteries and had originally thought this was the source of the beep. But today I have determined it was coming from the water heater control valve.

The front LED light on the Control panel blinks once every 3 seconds, the instructions says thats indicates normal operation. I dont currently have any issues with the hot water but I am very concerned about this beeping sound.

Any idea what the beep is?

this is a Honeywell Water Heater Gas Control Valve - WV8840B1110.
The Plumber had replaced the orginal control Valve - WV8840B1109.

please see atatchment for front of the control valve.

Have a technician check your inlet and outlet gas pressure. The outlet has to be 5" W.C..
