50a55-112

Heater stoped working called tech they came out and he said it was the transformer he also put a bridge with a 5 amp fuse to the transformer.1 hour later the fuse was blown.
They sent anouther tech he said it was the module model # 50a55-112 .The new module is a 50a55-843 this module has a 3 amp protection fuse .After installation it tripped the fuse.any ideas

    Something's drawing too much current? The techs they sent out are ...less than competent?

    How old is the unit? What, precisely, is happening when the fuse blows? Does the current slowly climb until the fuse lets go, or does it hold steady until something happens? Was any work performed recently? New thermostat maybe?
