I'm looking for recommendation on which PEX to use to run my main supply house water through the basement wall, ceiling and may be close to my main steam 2" run. Which company makes it and I would think " blue/white" color? Not too familiar with PEX, any input will be gladly appreciated!
Thanks

I like Pex-a products like Uphoner Aquapex or Rahua with quality expanding fittings like propex . Other guys use crimp fittings Pex-a with good success.
The big box stores carry pex-b and off brand fittings which in my mind is slightly inferior.
Don't get any plastic pipe near a steam pipe. It could melt the pipe or make your cold water hot.

Most are available in Red Blue or White for those that are easily confused.

    Thanks @Zman
I've used a couple PEX crimp ring with the big crimp pliers. My arms were killing me with the right places.

How is PEX B? Is it more rigid and heat tolerant?

I prefer Pex-a. It is a predictable product to work with and has a great track record.
It does look like Pex-b is a bit stiffer and theoretically more heat tolerant. http://www.pexheat.com/Home/5-Lies-About-PEX-Tubing

Do not put any pex piping in close proximity to steam mains...
