PC- porter cable. Got that. Just saying on the other end of the scale the Fien or Festool would wear a person out.

If I was buying one it'd likely end up being a Bosch.

One feature to be aware of is tool less, blade, and accessory changing.

You can pick up a PC corded for less than a franklin. Storage case, and extra blades, and accessories. Pretty easy to find blades. Dremel is a little more money.

You could go all out for a festool for 440.00

Actually the Fein is the top of the mark with the oscillating saw, they originated it. I have one, it's amazing. I've used the others and there is definitely a difference.

Festool makes great stuff, but even they copied this from Fein.

To think when my house was built it had two bedrooms, each having a coal stove on the second floor.

They had to haul coal or wood up to bed with them if they wanted to be warm at night and here you are whining about your central heating system.

The guy that built this house died around 1935, he was 85 years old. I wonder what he would have to say about you. Something tells me, it would be similar to what your generation says about Millennials. :)

Now, they did have steam installed sometime in the mid 1920s, but he went the first what, 75 years of his life without central heating. He was 60 when his first indoor toilet was installed.

Last I knew coal/wood stoves are mostly radiant, and convective. I will take that over dragons breath any day. Nice on the cold bones.

A lot of homes had one coal, or wood stove. With a bed warmer. Not a stove in each bedroom. The generation before him probably thought the same thing about him as you believe we think about millennials. Apparently he had enough of hauling the fuel upstairs to install a steam system.

Now what I wonder is what he would think about a guy who has to have his house at 68 instead of 72 in the summer when he did not have AC.

Grab an ice tea, or a lemonade kid, and suck it up.

    Now you're catching on.
Though, it's not as I believe, there's plenty of people sharing their opinions right out in public.

There's been plenty of deadbeat kids in every generation.

Remember Maynard G Krebs? Sure, he was fictional, but he was based on something real.

Many of us boomers have created some "Buttercups/Snowflakes" by not wanting them to "suffer"
childhood traumas that we experienced (enjoyed?).

Ask any of my 4 kids or 6 grandkids.......I was not one of them. >:)

@Gordy , I probably have a few years on you and I keep my temps at 68 all summer long. I certainly didn't grow up or go through life having anything handed to me. I made my own way and tried to be an example for my son and grand kids. We all spend our money on things that are important to each of us and being comfortable, in my home, is one of those luxuries I worked hard to be able to afford. I am sure you have your vices also. Live and let live. B)

You have to keep it 68 Fred with all the commercial kitchen appliances you have running. Cooking tar is no fun in the heat
