This was a hot water change-out Poppy, Lamin and Nelvis knocked out today. It was a no heat replacement in Annandale, VA.

    We went back with a Crown cast iron atmospheric. I love this boiler. It's built like a tank.

    I love getting on the wall and seeing other installs where it is self evident that the installer actually CARES!!! Looks great Dan (as always), if only everyone did work like this!

    I was daydreaming the other day thinking about how much money and effort would ultimately be saved if all installs were like this. How many times have you had to fight air in a system for an hour after a routine repair because there is not a purge valve installed? How many hours have you wasted in your life trying to change a pump that was needlessly installed in an inaccessible location? I could go on and on obviously, but I think we have all been there in the dark mechanical room Friday night at 7:30 cursing the person whose ignorance and lack of care put you in that situation. If only, if only....

    Sorry for the rant, its been one of those weeks :s

    The chimney is an interior clay lined masonry chimney. The boiler is common-vented with the existing gas water heater.
