Steam air on eyes

Hey, I happen to get some hot steam air from apartment radiator on my eyes. My eyes began to hurt and it feels like a burning sensation. Should I worry or is this just temporary. Is the air from my radiator harmful like the one coming out from the pipe

Was it steam or just air being pushed out of the radiator at the start of a heating cycle? If it was steam were you aware that vent must be defective? They should close immediately when steam hits them. To your question, if it was really hot steam, it is possible you burned the surface of the eye and it should be checked. If it was just air, even warm, it shouldn't be harmful. What were your eyes doing so close to a radiator vent while steam (or condensing steam) was coming out of it?

Air is air, but we have no way of knowing what else is in your system. We're also not doctors, so if you're injured, you'd better seek medical attention.

It seemed to be just air I was checking the radiator from up close since it seemed to be getting a bit lauder than usual and what's the difference between steam or condensing steam.

Steam is invisible. What you see when you see a cloud is the steam actually condensing as it hits the cooler air.

Thanks but honestly I think it was just air from the heating cycle like you said since steam would probably hurt a lot more

Quick reality check. Was it hot?

If it hurts bad enough to ask here, and has not subsided I would see the ER.

The air was hot but my eyes weren't directly on it I just happen to get a close look at it. The pain in my eyes is not as bad as earlier and the burning stoped however I did notice my eyes redder than usual like some lines and my vision is a little weird

As we often say- consult a professional. In this case, the professional is the doctor at the ER. You may be OK, but they should be able to tell you for sure.
