Hi there , I'm having a issue with my furnace not wanting to kick on however if I set the temp to 75 or above it works fine no issues at all, when lower it kicks on and will shut down on lockout . The furnace was just cleaned out and replaced nozzle to .50 80 A , for some reason after cleaned the flame was roaring it had a .579 witch I ran for years but once cleaned all the sudden this size was to much for it? So now my issue is with it shutting off when temp set below 75 I'm baffled any ideas

Swapped out nozzle was fine though, I'm thinking possibly a bad transformer that decides it dosent want to work sometimes , possibly thermostat but I have no clue

Start with the correct nozzle (.579) and a combustion test.

What's a .579 nozzle? Never heard of one

My guess is .57 90 degree Steve? Years ago the old millers used a 559, which was, if I remember, Sid Harvey's .55 90 nozzle. Generally a "W" was used in the old Wayne/Miller Guns

Being around this biz since the 70's, started officially mid 80's, I can honestly say I've never heard of that nozzle/nozzle designation. Learned something new.
