Installed one of two that I bought. I moved it to the end of my return line to get a little heat in my workshop (down there a lot). Going to see how it does compared to my Gortons on the other main. So far it's performing great.

Nice, I remember you sent that pic to me a while back. Looks great. I've polished brass and stainless nicely using a scotchbrite wheel on a bench grinder then the buffing wheel.Peter Owens

Started with 60 grit sandpaper to smooth out the casting. Then used finer grits (320, 1500). After that I used a buffing wheel on my drill press. I don't currently have a stand alone buffer, but it's on my Christmas list. The sanding is the trick, the smoother it is the better it looks. The drawback is that if it isn't completely perfect you will see it. If you see that one in person it has some flaws here and there. I mainly do this for practice so when I get to things that really matter I can do it with relative ease. I used to detail cars for a living, making things pretty and shiny is in my blood.Koan said:How did you polish it so well??
