and mostly hydronic, here is my list of things to be grateful for today ->

Siggy's books, Dan's books, Caleffi Idronics, delta P pumps, Taco iSeries mixing valves, the fact that I'm doing steam now, old cast iron radiators, American Radiator and Standard Sanitary, anything old school Bell & Gossett, Ridgid tools, Klein tools, Reed tools, Milwaukee tools, steel pipe wrenches as big as I am, dirty jeans, hands that never get clean, happy customers, music because I can't work or think without it, Red Wing work boots, the infinite amount of knowledge shared on HH, GW Berkheimer Supply, Porter Pipe and Supply, my work trucks, the antique heating parts and gauges I collect, flow meters, infrared thermometers, new things like Big Mouth vents, Testo combustion analyzers, the RPA and its efforts to better our industry, P&M magazine, PHC magazine, the Glitch and the Fix, Gil Carlson, the Little Red Schoolhouse, a beat up body as a result of doing what I've always loved to do, the guys that taught me the right way, the lessons I got from the guys that did it the wrong way, the fact that I quit college to do this, a well designed and executed system, the mistakes I've made and learned from, trusting the math, Harold Keppner, Lochinvar KHN boilers, Caleffi separators, Jomar filter ball valves, Buderus cast iron boilers, Peerless cast iron boilers, outdoor reset, the PONPC, P/S piping, RM Starbuck's books, and on and on and on.

I am grateful for being involved in this trade. It has helped me raise my 4 kids and never have to worry about the ebbs and flows of the economy. What I enjoy the most is the ability to learn something new each service call or each day. Just when you get cocky and think you got it figured out, it smacks you upside the head and says "Hey Look at this."

Ain't that the truth. 43 years in the biz and I feel like I don't know enough yet.
