moving a condensing unit to other part of yard

hello the lady is getting a sliding door installed and condensing unit is in the way. the easiest way to run part of the extended line set necessitates about a 12 foot run along the roof. otherwise I have to drill 2 holes to get through the garage. the line set will be about 25 to 30 feet longer. will running it 12 feet across the roof cause problems?

More info is needed. Maybe a quick diagram.
The two main things that would stand out would be maintaing proper oil return to the compressor and keeping the total line set size and length within Manufacturer's specs.
If you're talking about saddling up and down over a roof, that doesn't sound good as it could be creating a large oil trap.Bob Boan
