Please help guys. Have a Dyna glo wall floor heater installed today.connected to natural gas and Has a external regulater at 6" wc and connected thru 1/2 flex hose. Heater works great on high but the minute I put it below 2 or below on the dial it starts making a whistling noise. Heater is brand new so I wouldn't think the air inlet for orifice would be dirty. Any help guys? Thank you much for any info.

What is the manifold pressure on low fire?
Just as a FWIW... Vent free heaters are terrible. I never install them. Way too much of a air quality risk.

Not to mention a carbon monoxide risk- for that reason, we don't touch them.

I had a job with several unit heaters that whistled in the flex line. IIRC they were slightly undersized for the load but no one wanted to pay to replace them. I lessened the whistling by bending & stretching the flex line slightly—just enough to alter the internal flow away from the resonance.
