Ive never changed a Uponor actuator.....i have a few pics below....the wirsbo actuators were faulty just would not open/let flow through. Another contractor replaced the 2 outer Uponor actuators on the Wirsbo manifold....i replaced the 2 inner uponor actuators. The outer actuators when they open the end switch closes....and vice versa....the new inner uponor actuators which i replaced has the end switch constantly in the closed position.....at the moment i have just the 2 outer actuators operating with there end switches, and on my replacements i have end switches disconnected due to them always being normally closed ....did i purchase wrong actuator? should it be normally open? i believe i used the correct adapter ring.... when the new actuators open they let flow through but the end switch is still in the closed position. customer does not use setback, rooms very close together....they probably wouldnt notice a thing but i would like to know for myself thanks guys Paul S

Normally closed = "normal"; means with no action or voltage applied. But is it referring to the actuator or the end switch? I can't think of a scenario where you'd want the end switch closed when the actuator is.

@Ironman with the actuator right out of box end switch is closed.....i wire them in....both open i have flow end switch still closed ....they shut end switch still closed ....im baffled cant say 2 bad right out of box....i thought normally closed meant the actuator without 24vac applied it is closed and no water can flow....with end switch open.....should i contact uponor? thanks Paul S

I would call them since it looks different from the others.

I do know that Rehau actuators will replace those gear motor ones.
