Any suggestion for economical water filter for whole house or just for boiler or water heater especially tankless?

What are you trying to filter out?All Steamed Up, Inc.

Mostly anything that will ruin/shorten the life of a tankless or heating unit or corrode pipes and fixtures0

That's not a filter. That's a water treatment system. Filters only attack particulate material, technically. The only way to find out if you need a water treatment system is to have the water tested and then determine what -- if anything -- you need to remove. Hardness? Iron? pH problems? Manganese? All take different treatment.Br. Jamie, osb
