Commercial Rooftop

Poppy had half the company on this site for a crane lift this morning. We are doing a complete mechanical system retrofit in this c. 1890 building at Logan Circle, NW DC. We had to do this at 6:30am on a Saturday morning as the crane shut down and blocked 13th St.

We set two LG VRF rooftop units and one Aaon make-up air unit. We have not had rain in six weeks so of course it poured all morning. Poppy and his crew had the units set and were headed home by 10am.

That seems to be the way things go. Work inside when the weather is nice and then work outside when the weather is crappy. The nicest thing about the AAON units is the wiring diagrams.

A nice lift. What size crane?

Most recent Aaons we set were IIRC 12 70 ton units, running off—get this—Honeywell Prestige stats with EIMs, for 4 stages of cooling.
