how to wire up guard model RB-122-E

I am trying to wire up the guard dog using the installation manual, using option 2 of the manual. I have read the post from heatpro02920.it was helpful but still a little confused. looking at the manual it has L-1 and L-2 says to hook up boiler controls. I have tap in to the service switch already.

    Are you looking to shut down 120 volts to the boiler or are you wiring to shut down power to the burner (24 volts).
