what burner control do you have

I know that a Honeywell RA117A is a burner control that can not give you Lockout 29

A Honeywell R8184G does not have a Lockout 29 either

Honeywell S8610U does not provide any Lockout 29 as far as I know

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

May be some sort of hard lockout. There should be somewhere (probably buried) in your manual for the control instructions as to a service reset. The operator reset button won't do it.

Until you find the instructions in the manual, try removing power from it completely (breaker or fuse) for at least five minutes and then powering it up again.

Is it a 7800 control used on commercial burner?

If so, they had a problem with those controls where the control would lose its prepurge timing> I think that was the issue. I actually talked with the fellow from Honeywell in Las Vegas at the Ashrae show years ago Like 10-12 years

It's been a long time. All I can remember is the control would sit there with the Power On light on, all limits and safety's calling and the control would not start the burner. A real pain.

It was some type of software glitch.

You could get the burner running by replacing the control but that is $$$$$

Can't remember if the prepurge timing can be reset using the display module. You will have to contact a Honeywell distributor who sells these controls. Honeywell will not talk to a customer directly.

Or it could be a different problem.

    Lockout 29 is an interlock.

This is not DIY you need a burner service tech that knows this control
