Are shark bite fittings a good permanent solution for a boiler hot water return line? A pinhead leak developed in a coupling. Ed B

Opinions will vary on this.
I don't like them in concealed locations. If they leak, you can't see them.
I some areas they are excepted and commonplace. In my mind they make the workmanship look shoddy.
The real question you might ask is, why did you get a pinhole in a recirc line? Often times it is a result of an improperly sized or controlled circulator. If you don't get to the source of the problem, more pinholes will follow"If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough"
