Are shark bite fittings a good permanent solution for a boiler hot water return line? A pinhead leak developed in a coupling. Ed B

    Opinions will vary on this.
    I don't like them in concealed locations. If they leak, you can't see them.

    I some areas they are excepted and commonplace. In my mind they make the workmanship look shoddy.

    The real question you might ask is, why did you get a pinhole in a recirc line? Often times it is a result of an improperly sized or controlled circulator. If you don't get to the source of the problem, more pinholes will follow
