Need to replace wiring - what kind to get?

Options
So, this has been like this for awhile. It goes down to the box on the blower motor- not sure whether this is special wiring, or not... can someone help? Thanks-

It's probably fine, looks like just the cloth sheath is torn but the wires look fine. It's your low voltage thermostat wiring. If you want to replace it get 18 gauge 2 wire thermostat wire. HD or lowes sells it.

For residential use, MC cable is fine.
    8.33 lbs./gal. x 60 min./hr. x 20°ΔT = 10,000 BTU's/hour

Two btu per sq ft for degree difference for a slab

    Yeah,
I don't see anything wrong with the actual insulation.

I used 18-4 Belden wire for mine, but only because it's what I was able to get easily and cheap. If that was mine I'd leave it alone though.

Could you post a picture of where they connect on the "blower motor"......I'm guessing the oil burner??
