They did a "test" with a fire department as a news story (following the above one)... surrounded a car with snow (tailpipe, cowling, etc..) and started it. CO levels reach 90 ppm (IIRC) within 1.5 minutes.0

I'm surprised no one smelled the exhaust leaching into the car. I guess modern cars are running clean enough the exhaust isn't noticeable like it used to be especially when starting a car with a choked carburetor.
There needs to be more information out there on this to make people aware to clear around their tailpipes and car before starting it.Single pipe quasi-vapor system.
