We ripped out a 12 year neglected munchkin that was also twice the size of the house's heat loss.
We Installed a HTP Pioneer 100 55 gallon high efficiency condensing modulating boiler with 4 taco sentry zone valves Caleffi air and dirtmag separators.
Taco Viridian pumps both on the heating system and for the indirect tank we also added a Caleffi mixing valve and expansion tank on the existing indirect tank.
Thank you Rich Mcgrath for the referral.

Thanks Paul. It is a bronze pump that's one of the first things I looked at.
All we did with the indirect tank was add mixing valve and expansion tank. There was nothing wrong with the indirect tank, but we did give them a quote to replace it when that one goes

Yeah I know, none of the supply houses had all the 2" polypropylene piping and fittings I would've needed to pipe the vent in 2" but they did have everything in 3" and the job was an emergency replacement.
    No problem Bob

I hear that quite often in my travels, suppliers do not carry the full inventory of adapters for that PP vent system.

Hear in north nj there's only one supply house that stocks PP and they don't even have all but every other supplier says they can get it within a couple of days well that doesn't help when there's an emergency replacement or repair

That's a problem. the exact same thing happened when stainless AL-29 was introduced many years ago as a better option to PVC. Since not many stocked the entire transition selection, installers gravitated to the readily available PVC. The same may happen to PP unless PVC gets pushed out by codes?

Of course the stainless was $$ and a challenge to cut easily.

Real nice job Ezzy . Thanks for taking that northern job .

Little back story for everyone . Homeowner went to HTP supplier after Langans or Browndog was not available . They recommended 2 contractors who then recommended and gave prices for equipment not even handled by that supplier . Heat loss was 65000 as per Ezzy , one recommended a Utica 95M (80K- 200K) the other recommended a Navien NR 240 A . Homeowner contacted me for advice on those choices . Luckily by then I had learned that Ezzy was available to do the boiler .

Witj a little cooperation and relationships between contractors we could probably lessen the amount of bad stuff that happens or gets installed .
Ezzy's employer contacted us within 2 days to inquire about us looking at something 3 hours from them adn a bit south of us . We are presently figuring out what must happen there . Thanks Corrado and Ezzy .
You didn't get what you didn't pay for and it will never be what you thought it would .
