Gas gun training

I was wondering if anyone here on the forum knew of any training classes available for natural gas guns for light commercial use in my area, Monmouth county NJ. I am interested in learning about basic set up and diagnostics.
Thanks in advance.

Not sure what's available in Jersey, but Tim McElwain has a training center near Providence, RI which is well worth the trip.

We're talking commercial size right? Ray Wolfarth has great advice and books on the big burners. M.D.

M.D., I have only seen Powerflame burners in my are aside from some small residential Wayne conversion that you see once in a blue moon and most of the bigger cast boilers ie Weil McLain 88 and Smith 19HE seem to by default come with Powerflames so I guess that would be the brand I would like to be come familiar with first. I googled the name Ray Wolfarth and showed PM magazine and read a few of his articles guy seems very knowledgeable I am going to try and find his texts.

Careful, I may take you up on the offer. I have seen some of your work here on heatinghelp, you and your company do very nice work.

I try to always make myself available to help other contractors. If it allows you to work safer and more effectively, I'll be there.

I definitely recommend Ray for commercial burner training. I am well able to teach commercial burners and still over see installation of a few every year. My problem is I do not have time to include commercial stuff into my busy training schedule.

I also recommend manufacturer training schools for the individual burners.

You also need to be up to date with your local CSD-1 requirements for commercial equipment.
