Conversion from cycle pilot to HSI went well.

Just finished the cycle pilot conversion to HSI on my Weil McLain. Every thing went great and boiler lites better than ever now. Now get ready to install a Tekmar set back.

Was the kit provided by WM. I don't see a flame sensor at the end opposite the igniter.

They do not require a flame sensor on that unit...

The igniter is doing the sensing in addition to igniting the gas. Those have worked out very well as a replacement for the troublesome Cycle Pilot Systems. They were a problem from day one.

I might add here that technicians can't use HSI or DSI as a replacement for any pilot operated systems. This one is okay because it was determined as a retrofit by the OEM not the service company.

Even when we install a Intermittent pilot retrofit it must be authorized by a cross reference from the control company whose retrofit you are using.

I don't like the fact that the igniter acts as flame sensor. The sensor should be at the opposite end in case you don't get carry over to the last burner.
