getting heat with the thermostats off

Hi,

I just moved in a new house in NY with a 2 years old Alpine Burnham gas fired hot water boiler and I noticed that my radiators are worm even if my thermostats are off (checked the main thermostat and boiler and they're off also). I believe it happens when the outside temps are lower (in the 60s ) but I am not sure. Is this because of the outdoor reset? (I noticed that there is a outdoor sensor coming to the boiler). Some parameters are off?

I still have the AC on and having the radiators warm is a little unsettling. Any thoughts/ help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Does the same boiler supply your hot water, or is that a separate unit?

It is possible that you are getting "ghost" circulation -- by gravity -- through the radiators when the boiler is making hot water. Are there any zone valves on either the hot water or the heating pipes?

The boiler is in the basement. Fortunately I have valves on each heating pipe (zone) and I am able to close it.
Still not sure if the boiler was installed correct or not. Burnham does not provide answers to technical questions (they send you to the contractors) which is annoying and unprofessional.
    Thank you for your help.

The contractor should have left the I&O manual with the boiler. It has recommended piping instructions in it, as well as parameter information. It may be worth your while to bring in a professional, to go over the system with you. Do you own this house?
