or do the low pressure switches installed in most mod cons pass AHJ inspections for protection?

    Pressure switches pass muster here in NM. Given the amount of safety features overall in modern boilers, I trust them.

    Same here in CT. In the early days inspectors weren't up on integral LWC's, today it's no problem.

    In Colorado the state inspectors are requiring separate LWC's on commercial. For residential, it varies by jurisdiction locally there is no requirement at all.

    That's true in CT. Commercial they want seperate, just like redundant pressuretrols

    Seperate in NYC ,NY state varies.Once you explain the operation of boiler to inspector they pass in my experience but that does not apply to NYC .
