Red expansion tank?

So I get the Purepro kit that has all the inlet/spirovent goodies only to read "don't install this expansion tank with radiant use the red one" I did install to get it up and running, Should I get the red tank?

Only if you wanna pay 3 times as much for it. "Radiant" tanks are recommend when there's more severe conditions such as: glycol, solar, etc.
As long as your tank is sized sufficiently, and you don't have those conditions, you'll be OK.Bob Boan

That's definitely one of those more severe conditions. In that scenario, I'd use one rated for potable and 180* water.Bob Boan
