When a 500,000 btu gas heating boiler comes shipped with a single gas valve wouldn't the appliance fall under "Large Appliances" and requires two gas valves for safety as a U.L. listed product does or can a single gas valve be used if it performs certain functions.
Thank you

What is the valve make and model number. Heating valves today (since 1979) are dual seated (redundant). Let me know the numbers and manufacturer and I will tell you if it is okay. The cut-off used to be 400,000 but depending on the boiler classification it can be larger and still not be considered a large burner.0
