    Just to clearify, I definitely think S S is a better product...I do recall an incident with varmets eating thru it and the liner dropped down.....Yes if a hackster installs it. It can tear...Chimney reqs. are all over the place....My area keeps on redoing them....So you do the very best you can based on the information at hand....No matter what it's lined with if a 24 in. Section of clay drops from the lower end you have major issues....Have seen it a few times, whend just replacing a water heater... Funny thing, c o dets never went off....I also personnly do not like sidewall vents...But its a sign of the times...Many new homes have no chimney...and in older ones people tear them out....quite often....Next they will build homes with no toilet... Women need there closet space...lol

    Some rheems use a similar looking double wall.flex vent but that don't look like it
