thermostat or relay?

Finished install, multiple zones, Taco zvc control and Sentry valves. Have one zone with t871007k that won't pull in, dip switches are set right, if I jump at wall plate it pulls in, tried four thermostats. Changed wall plate......confused, done this multiple times, same set up in my own home. Feel like Charlie Brown, ugh

It sounds like the T-stat is not playing nice with the relay. Which T-stat are you using? Have you tried using different terminals on the ZVC?
You could also try wiring the t-stat directly to the ZVC in the mechanical room to determine if the wiring is compromised.

You probably have the old style with ice cube replaceable relays. Not the new made in China Zvc lesser product. That was hard to be nice about toward Taco.
