Do you know where the Pioneer Lodge is/was located?

I believe the Granby unit is still there on main street (US 40), and the Pioneer looks like it may possibly be on South Santa Fe in Littleton. I think it's been renamed to something like the Titan, or something like that.

It's not so much a case of "You got what you paid for", as it is a matter of "You DIDN'T get what you DIDN'T pay for, and you're NOT going to get what you thought you were in the way of comfort". Borrowed from Heatboy.

There are more cars staying at the electrically heated motel, and only a few at the steam heated one, (could be signs of a knuckleheaded installation!}--NBC

The Frontier Motel is still open in Grandby. We stayed there a few years ago and they still had electric baseboard IIRC.

Look at all those road couch irons parked in that parking lot. I'll bet that if that Gas Monkey guy in Texas saw those couches parked somewhere, he'd be offering some (short) cash money to own them.

Some of those old road couches with bad shocks gave you a ride like an ocean liner on the ocean. They made you seasick.
