Worth shortening the mains?

I have 3 mains. Two of them have, what looks like, unnecessary 20' or so that used to feed radiators that aren't there anymore. Do you think it is worth spending $$ to get those shortened or those loops don't affect the system that much?

As long as everything in that 20ft is capped off and leak free it would take several lifetimes to recoup money spent to remove them. I would make sure the first few feet are insulated to stop heat loss in the unused pipe.

If they are closed off at the ends and don't go anywhere... don't bother.Br. Jamie, osb

Yeah they are fully insulated and capped. They are actually loops with risers cut off and capped.0

Who knows, maybe some day you or the next home owner may want to add a radiator or two somewhere. This certainly makes that a fairly easy task.0

We aren't planning to move for 20-30 years. We did enough moving in decade plus we have been together. I need somewhere I can enjoy fruits of my own labor :-)0
