Total hours, yesterday's install was 13.5 hrs, we broke for lunch for an hr. About 3 hrs ordering parts and picking up material, about 2 hrs taking my time in my garage building the header. About 2 hrs removing the old boiler and setting the area up. About an hr for loading the truck with tools and supplies (I don't keep everything in the van, it's just too heavy and kills gas). An hr when I first got the call and about 3 total hrs of driving. If I'm missing any time I'll just add a buffer of an hr in and say 24-25 hrs.

Very nice. Was it a hard sell to the customer.?Unfortunatly I find a lot go on price alone and there is many guys out there who would cut out old boiler and slide in new one.I think you just got a customer for life bet it runs like a beauty.

I want to do that to my parents house this summer, I'm also going to switch from oil to gas right now there's no header. The other problem or should I say I want to do is put an indirect hot water to the system.

No, can't say it was a hard sell. Customer found me here in the find a contractor section. I'm going to assume he reads the forum pages and has an understanding. He actually asked me about adding King valves.

When I sell these jobs I try to do as much explaining as possible. I don't just replace a boiler, I tune the whole system up, new main vents usually I'm adding a lot more then what was there, and I replace all radiator vents too.

Looks like the boilers were pretty much the same. But with your installation, that system should run much better. Nice work.
