Utica SSC condensing
airhead
Member Posts: 9
I have a Utica SSC installed this fall. Works great but have condensing on cabinet interior. System has discharge to outside but draws combustion air from basement (large basement). Condensate forms on cabinet at burner air inlet and runs down inside of cover. Basement unfinished but maintains around 35- 40% rh Anyone seen this before? Thanks

You need to run the intake to the outside and possibly insulate it too. The fact that you're getting the condensation is irrefutable proof that it should not be drawing combustion air from that area.Bob Boan

That is a great boiler, but you MUST run the intake piping out near the intake, per manufacturer specs, DON'T DELAY!
