Burnham Honeywell L8148E Aquastat Jumper Short Fix?

After 6 years of rock solid performance, Burham gas fired Revolution 6 is erratic. Problem is the well documented jumper wire short. Old threads mention simple fix (Glenn Stanton), hoping Glenn or someone can share that with me? For now, jiggling the jumper wire gets it going, but not permanently. Thanks in advance.

Remove the jumper wire and put a jumper on the two middle terminals of the plug for the vent damper. If that does not work then the soldered connection is bad. Replace it with an L8148J and you should be all set.0
