    I think Tim McElwain would be able to tell you about that burner. He might have installed it. ;)

    Time to replace it. That thing is probably 40% efficient, according to some of my Dead Men's Books.

    First off, It's an old Weil Mclain. Second it is gas fired. I would put it put to pasture as stated above

    Thanks for the comments. My friend was showing a client a house and saw it, sent me a pic. Said it scared the buyer. I told her to send the pic to Weil McClain, maybe they had a museum and would come get it.
    I'd be curious to see some literature on it if anyone had some.
    Edit: I just realized I posted in the wrong section...still trying to figure out The Wall. :)

    It's an old "inshot-" style gas burner, used in coal to gas conversions back during the Coolidge administration. ISIS might be interested in the burner, but it's a bad bet for any kind of efficiency or safety. Everything has its time, and its time has come and gone...
