BTU needed on Oil to Gas convesion

I am doing a oil to gas conversion on Peerless boiler. Going to use Wayne conversion burner gun. I have below questions.
- My house was built in 1980 and it is 2500 sq ft. How much BTU I would need. Currently I have 150,000 BTU for oil. I get hot water from this boiler as well.
- Should I get an Outdoor re-set control?

Oil to gas
Is this steam or hot water? Do you have enough gas capacity?
Use the SlantFin app from their website to figure the heat loss of your house, and that will be the BTU size for heating, for hot water only. Steam systems need a different method of calculation.
For the domestic hot water load, tell us what your usage is ( number of showers, and washer runs) you do each day.--NBC0 -
Is that a JO or TW series Peerless?
If so, or even it it's a later model, that Wayne burner won't work well. Its fan will not develop enough static air pressure to move enough air through the tight flueways in these boilers. You will not get good combustion efficiency and the CO levels may be too high, from incomplete combustion.
The Carlin EZ-Gas would be my first choice, followed by the Riello gas burner. Beckett just came out with their CG4 but I have not used one, so can't speak to its capability. All Steamed Up, Inc.

And keep in mind
that the BTU output from the burner must be within the recommended range for the boiler... you don't give the model number, so we can't help with that.Br. Jamie, osb
