Controlling feed rate for skimming
The Gel

A really basic question about skimming. I understand that I'm supposed to replace the water at a trickle as I skim. I can see how that would be fairly easy. Unfortunately, I don't have any sort of manual bypass; just a McDonnell Miller 101 A sitting in the middle of the feed pipe. Any good ways to keep a slow feed going?

Boiler Drain?0 -
Hadn't thought of that!
Neat idea. Perhaps you could create a hose with female couplings on both ends, hook one end to a boiler drain (if you have one!) and the other to a convenient hose outlet?Br. Jamie, osb
