    I don't know.

I don't know. If it was photo shopped, someone is very good. If someone piped it like that, maybe it was a gag.

In my long experience, I have seen a lot of very odd things. There is nothing that would surprise me anymore. I can see some one not realizing that the tape on the gas valve over the hole would think that the gas goes somewhere else.

I thought it worthy of a look.

    No Drip Leg?

Goodman does it again selling to anyone over the internet! And before someone defends them by saying there's no warranty or they don't know who their distributors sell to, let me remind you they have the best warranty tracking service through Benchmark. No, they know, but they'll sacrifice their reputation (whatever it's is) to turn a dollar. They're not the only ones, either.

    There is Nothing Wrong

It is the evaporator's job to convert liquid to gas.

    In That Case...

I'm surprised he didn't connect it to the suction line. :)

    Once before

Seen something close to that years ago.  New kid sent to gas pipe to roof top package unit, saw the threaded outlet for the condo drain and piped up to it.  He left the valve off, as we were coming after him to wire and start up and test. Besides the wrong hole hook up, the piping looked great. And he was real new in the hvac trade.

    Can't be real

Someone had to have done this as a gag, even if they were stupid that would be hard to believe...

I seen {with my own eyes} years ago a 1/2" gas line bushed down to feed a beckett oil burner, a friend of mine called me and asked where I was, he gave me an address to stop by and meet him for a laugh, so of course I go out of my way and meet him {this is before it was so easy to take a picture and text it along}... I get there and see the gas line running to the oil pump, a brand new install, done on a bank owned house someone stole the copper and boiler out of, I remember asking my helper {at the time, he is now a journeyman, lol} what he thought was wrong and he said "no fireomatic", Me and my friend laughed....

Another system another contractor showed me at the supply house coffee and donut table had the smoke pipe ducted into a furnaces trunk line..

BUT this on if it is real, takes the cake... I just cant see it being real...
