furnace filter stuck

in THE MAIN WALL
Neighbor called for help. He can't remove his furnace filter. I figure the wire mesh in filter caught on something in housing. Edge of a C clip? Any help is appreciated.

    Filter

    Turn the furnace off, take the bottom door off and wrench the filter out. find and remove ALL of the pieces and then install the new PLEATED filter.

    Try not to let them get so dirty is the blower deforms them and then they are hard to remove.
